Start a new business with Square

Hi, recently I bought a takeaway restaurant and am interested in Square POS and Square terminal to manage my sales, however something I'd like to know before I get them.

1)The existing owner is using ABACUS POS on the iPad to run the cash drawer,

printer and terminal (bank own), any part of the existing cash drawer and printer I

can check(ex: brand, USB port...etc) if they are integrated with Square POS?

2)Not sure Square POS has any kind of feature that I can setup staff-login for

my staffs then are able to log in to their own account before taking orders from

customer? (also the staff name shows on the receipt)

We use Square for Restaurants, but I think Square for Retail is similar, you can create team members, each has their own login however on the free plan there is only 1 set of permissions (team permissions).

I don't think there is a way to have your team member name on the receipt. But we do see team names on our production tickets (kitchen dockets etc).

In regard to your printer, is it a network printer? We use epson network printers with square with no problem, the cash drawer is driven by one of these printers (which I'd imagine is how yours works).
