Hi crew, Apologies from a technodinasaur but the "Square Chat" is confusing / useless / and doesn't answer the question if it's more than 10 words long !!!!!!!!!!!! just mumbo jumbo off topic answers!

What, apart from the square terminal do I need to get it to work away from home (I do airport transfers) A

pparently it can Bluetooth to my phone but it won't connect

Any help most appreciated, Alan

Welcome to the square community...

If it's the square terminal you have (looks like an eftpos machine) then this connects via wifi. to get this to work through your phone you need to enable your phones personal hotspot (sometimes called wifi sharing).

When this is turned on, your phone will work like a wifi access point and share its data connection this way. When you turn this on, you can usually configure a meaningful name and password.

You then need to connect your square terminal to the wifi network your phone makes available.

Once this is all done, then your terminal should work.

After you've gone through the exercise once, it should just be a matter of turning on your personal hotspot and connecting the terminal each time you are away from home.
