I have my site set up and want to create orders and start selling my product. It looks to me like I have to upgrade in order to do that????

I still don't see how its free Joe :

There is no monthly fee for using Square Online Checkout links. You’ll only pay Square’s standard eCommerce processing fee of 2.9% + 30¢ per transaction.

There's always a fee per transaction @kellycreates4u.

The free part is that there's no monthly charge as mentioned in the quote you provided above. Hope that clears things up!
