Does Square Online Store support webp?

I've uploaded my entire site with jpeg images and it loads slower than a snail.
After doing some research I realized formatting them to webp would optimize them to allow my site to run faster.

Now I can't upload them as it doesnt look like square supports webp.

Has anyone else come across this issue?

I'm ready to move to shopify at this point as its taking way too long to get this site formatted and up and running when I have to do everything multiple times over.

Hey @loganberrycan!

Whereas Square doesn't support the upload of a `.webp` file, the developers are actively working to speed up site load times and minimise and convert images to the `.webp` format.
