Shipping item shows in net sales

I just mailed painting to my customer. (This is my first time.)

I added shipping as an item, so I could charge her for it.

It shows up as a net sale with the painting when I run a report. So it looks like I made more than I did.

What do I need to do to show I did not make the total of the receipt?

You'll want to set up shipping as described in this article so it doesn't show up as another item in your orders.

Thanks for the link. Is it possible to set up the shipping profile but leave the price blank so I can enter it at shipping time? My art is not all the same weight or dimension.

Stepping in here for Frances! No, unfortunately, there is not an option to leave the price blank and add the shipping in later. We do offer real-time shipping*, which allows you to set up rates with different couriers that will range depending on the weight and destination of the package.

*This would require an upgrade of the website plan if you are interested!
