What device

Hello, I’m new to Square.

I’ve set up link to my bank acct. I don’t know what device I need for credit/debi transactions for a one day art event. Is this for rental or do I need to purchase? What fees are involved?

Is this truly a one day, one day event? Or one day for now?

Square doesn't rent hardware (that I know of) but if you're looking for low investment, I would recommend purchasing a Square Reader for contactless and chip I'm not sure if your customers would need to interact with a screen/device for any reason, but if they didn't I reckon this would be the most straight forward method for accepting payment.

If you were interested in a slightly higher investment for even greater functionality, then I would suggest going up to the Terminal. An all-in-one solution that doesn't require a secondary device.
