      <title>Can't connect to Square reader</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I am trying to connect my Square Reader to an Optus X Start 3 Smart phone (&lt;A href="https://ztemobiles.com.au/optus-x-start-3/" target="_blank"&gt;https://ztemobiles.com.au/optus-x-start-3/&lt;/A&gt;)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;But I cannot seem to get it to connect?&lt;BR /&gt;The phone and the reader are both brand new from Officeworks. I have tried doing a hard reset on the reader and it came up asking to allow the pairing (twice). I tapped pair but then said failed to connect.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Anyone else had any success or issues with this combination?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;For starters, it's a good idea to verify if the mobile device you're using is compatible with Square apps and hardware. I'm not particularly familiar with the Optus X Start 3 smartphone, but a brief search on our &lt;A href="https://squareup.com/au/en/compatibility" target="_self"&gt;Compatibility Page&lt;/A&gt; doesn't show it in the current list.&lt;/P&gt;
