Join us at the Square Oakland Office on July 24 for an evening of inspiration, knowledge sharing, and fun! This event is exclusively for members of the Square Community, so you'll be surrounded by fellow entrepreneurs who understand the challenges and triumphs of running a small business.

We're thrilled to have the owners of @pomellaoakland join us for a panel discussion and share their insights on running a business in the Bay Area. Check out their website and learn more about their stories below:

Mica Talmor, originally from Israel, grew up in a family that expressed love through food. She attended culinary school in Israel and then went into pastry school at the California Culinary Academy. After graduation, she worked as a pastry chef at Eos in San Francisco and Grasshopper in Oakland. From 2005 to 2018, she operated Savoy Events, a renowned catering company. After that, she opened Ba-Bite in Oakland which received recognition from Food & Wine, Sunset, and KQED's "Check, Please!" In March 2020, Talmor launched Pomella, which combines the finest locally sourced California produce with the authentic flavors of the Middle East, North Africa, the Mediterranean, and Eastern Europe.

Salaams (they/them) has a passion for blending food and technology. With experience in bartending, catering, food truck operations, store management, and even running their own focaccia pop-up in Oakland, they've built a strong foundation in the food industry. They merged their dual passions at Pomella, orchestrating a successful Kickstarter campaign, and spearheaded tech, marketing, and e-commerce operations since 2020. They continue this work, offering their dual expertise to several restaurants in the Bay Area and beyond.

@Moreplease -- Thanks so much for asking! We definitely want to accommodate busy parents. You, and others, are more than welcome to bring your children -- we'll set up a little play area with some stuff to keep 'em busy & happy too. I was told we have some puzzles/coloring stuff 😃

@BobbyRealEstate Great question 💡 We do not have garage parking available at the venue, however, there is free and/or paid street & garage parking very close to 1955 Broadway, Oakland, CA 94612.

For other folks who may have the same question, once logged in to SellerCommunity.com all you have to do to "register" for the meet-up is click the "Yes" button at the top of the event post.

To confirm you are registered, if you are logged-in to the community, it will show "You are Going" in green. Hope this helps and can't wait to see you soon in Oakland 😊

@LeahK There are lots of Square Sellers in Greater Cincinnati and in the tri-state region, which includes Louisville KY , Indianapolis IN, Columbus OH. 😊 Square Midwest! And I know the best restaurants, Square sellers or not! Just saying. Lol.
