Why does square take so long returning a $100 hold on my square debit card from a gas station?

I don't understand what the delay is in returning the funds back to my acct after placing a hold for $100 on my acct , for buying gas...!! Usually it is returned almost immediately!

Hi @Brandeelyn How long has there been a hold on the funds from the gas pump? Has it been longer than 3-5 days?

Generally it should be the next business days, but I have seen even some banks have holds for 3+ days on gas purchases.

Usually just take 3 business day.
