Square made me close my savings account to do this, and now I can’t get a new savings account (even thou I have a new checking account number and a new debit card)! Why can’t I have a new Savings Account number also?? Unfortunately, I don't believe you can open a new one without contacting support and potentially escalating it to the issuing bank.
