thread Square Appointments App Returns in Appointments & Bookings

I am a hairstylist, and I had a client come in with a product she didn't like, and wanted to exchange it for something else. I was wondering if there was a way using the square appointments app if I could take the return, and still charge her for her haircut, and new products all in one transaction? I was hoping it would have let me ring in the product return and have it go to -1, and credit her the product return but still charge her for her other things... What should I do in this circumstance? Am I apple to do it from Square appointments? I didn't try from just the checkout tab... I just ended up refunding it to her card. But I would think there would have been an easier way??

thanks in advance.

I don’t think there is a way to do it this way other than finding her transaction from time before and refunding it and then start a new check out screen with haircut!

what I’ve done in the past (also a hairstylist) is if the client brings something back and wants to exchange it I just swap them out and not even worry about changing it in the system. They have to be equal to $$ tho!

or if they just want the price of the product off their haircut I just do a discount of $$ at time of check out off their services and explain to them that’s the return of the retail.

I have recently added to all my website, receipt that all products are final sales so I don’t have to do returns anymore. This was a game changer!!
