Bug Report — Cannot Approve or Deny Appointment Requests in Square Appointments Mobile App

Hi Square Support Team,

I’d like to report a bug I’m experiencing with the Square Appointments mobile app following the most recent update on Apple mobile devices.

Issue Details:

My business settings are configured so that appointment requests require approval.
After the recent app update, I am unable to approve or decline both new appointment requests and reschedule requests within the Square Appointments mobile app.
There are no visible or functional approve/decline options in the app.
To manage any appointment requests (new or rescheduled), I must log in to the Square Dashboard via a web browser.
This functionality previously worked directly in the mobile app prior to the update.

This is significantly impacting my workflow, as I rely on the mobile app to manage appointments on the go.

Please let me know if screenshots, screen recordings, or logs would be helpful. I’m happy to provide additional information if needed.

Hey @Vanilla — oof, it’s never fun when a setting seems to disappear out of nowhere. I’m happy to dig into this with you.

Could you walk me through the steps you were previously using to accept or decline appointments?

Also, what app version are you currently using? Any additional details you can share would be really helpful as I look into this further.

Hi Maya, I'm so sorry for the delayed response! I was recovering from a medical surgery. I am using iOS and the latest version. The issue seemed to have been fixed, but about two days ago I had the issue again. Sometimes its there, but at random it will not display the option to approve or decline. With new appointment requests I have not had the issue anymore, with rescheduling it did occur about 2 days ago again.

Our team looked into this further and isn’t seeing the issue at the moment. I recommend double-checking that both your device and app are fully up to date, and then trying to delete and reinstall the app.

@MayaP Hi, I’m experiencing this issue again. It happens on and off, but for the last four reschedule requests in a row, the approve/decline buttons are not appearing in the Appointments app as they normally do.

In the screenshot, I marked a red X where the buttons are supposed to show. I’m currently having to log in through the browser to approve reschedule requests instead.

The approve/decline option is working properly for new appointment requests, the issue only seems to affect rescheduled appointment requests.

I also noticed another seller commented that they’re experiencing the same problem.

Can you please look into this?
