Hi, @andreakennedylm !

Currently, Square Appointments syncs with Google Calendar rather than iCal directly. This setup allows real-time two-way syncing. So any updates in Google automatically appear in Square and vice versa, but we realize that relying on Google as the bridge adds an extra step for Apple Calendar users.

You’re right that Acuity offers a native iCal connection. However, the two platforms are built on separate systems and infrastructures, and at this time Square’s appointment scheduling platform doesn’t yet support direct iCal integration.

I hope this helps!

Considering a switch from Acuity to Square for appointment scheduling. Why does square not have iCal sync when Acuity does and I believe they are owned by the same “parent” company. This is a HUGE issue for many of us. Yes there’s a work around with Google Calendar but I’d like a direct sync. Seems it wouldn’t be difficult for square to create this feature…..

I've come with the same question as the original poster. You said "at this time Square’s appointment scheduling platform doesn’t yet support direct iCal integration". And you affirmed that you recognize it's an extra step for some users. But beyond that, there's really nothing useful for us here.

Can you offer anything more to users than this? Many of us don't have, and/or don't want to have, Google accounts.

Adding one-way subscription to a calendar, as the OP said, should not be a difficult step to take, infrastructure-wise. So:

1. Is adding one-way calendar subscription currently on Square's roadmap?

2. If so, when might we expect this function?

3. If not, can we please get some affirmative and useful information about whether it will be added, or if not, then why not?

It would be helpful to know that someone at Square is considering this function, which has been requested for many years at this point.
