Doran,

There is currently no archive functionality for service libraries. However, don't worry about deleting the service, itself. Square never changes history. When a transaction is closed, it doesn't seem to be linked to the libraries anymore -- either the product or service libraries. From what I can tell, they just save the item name/category, etc, to historical transactions, which means that we can even change item names without history for items sold before those changes being affected. It's actually pretty cool. I know this is true because I have deleted MANY, MANY items over the years and my history for transactions that contained those items is still valid and intact.

For me, the only reason to archive items/services would be if I thought there was any chance I would sell them again and wanted to keep the setup for those.

Does anyone know how to archive a service? I am not offering a few services anymore and would like to take them out of my menu/archive without deleting past data.

You keep the service but uncheck it from the service provider offering it and then it won't show up online.

You can also go into the service itself and shut it off for online booking. We do this quite a bit as we have providers in and out that do different things.
