Add modifier to services when booked online

How can I add a modifier to a service booked online? Specifically I need to know what school my clients attend when they book their appointment, so a simple text box with "school" is all I need.

HI there @bentleygray.. Currently, you can't do this. Modifiers added to services are only available for use in the POS environment, not online. This has been requested as a feature request so you might want to go to the Appointments section of the Ideate Board and add your support to one of those. I'll tag the Square moderators here and maybe one of them can provide you a direct link to an existing request.

Thanks so much for that reply. But here's the thing...I know I've done it in the past. See the screenshot below where I added "child's name and age" to a service I used before. I can't remember how I did it so I'm wondering if this is just an option that was taken away. And why in the world can't we do this???

@bentleygray Nothing was taken away. What I see in that screen shot is not a modifier, but rather an optional customer profile field. As long as you are an Appointments Plus subscriber, go to your web dashboard > Appointments > Online Booking. Scroll down to the "customer profile fields" section and you should find what you want there
