Are eGift cards available for booking appointments, or are they only available for retail and restaurant purchases?

To clarify, are you referring to using eGift cards to book an appointment online using a Square Booking site?

Or would your clients book appointments in person using eGift cards?

Yes, it is possible.

Gift cards can be used as a payment method in any of our apps when clients pay in person.

Recently, we also started accepting gift cards as a form of prepayment when appointments are booked online.

While the article @frances_a links to is helpful, it does not squarely answer the question "Yes, but how...?"

How does a customer use an eGift card to secure an appointment online? (without entering a credit card)

Use case: person receives an egift card. They want to use the egift card to book an appointment which requires full prepayment or Hold a card for no-show protection. They do not want to enter any credit card information. How does a customer do this online?

ANSWER 1:

Go to [ ] website.
Click the little person icon next to the shopping cart (top right)
Enter your phone number.
Enter the verification code.
Click Manage your account.
Enter your phone number (again).
Enter the verification code (again).
Enter your email address.
Enter the email verification code.
Click Edit Details and enter your name.
Click Manage Payment Methods
Add your gift card information.
Go back to [ ] website and book your appointment.

ANSWER 2:

Have the customer call you
Enter them as a customer in the customer directory
Enter their egift card information
Book the appointment.

I would love to hear there is a better option than the 2 I have provided here.

It shouldn't be as difficult as @SaltandSugar outlined. Square should make it simpler.
