Hi! I just set up a discount on my desktop for Square Appointments for $10 off. It is not showing up like the discounts posed as percents % do. Does anyone have a trick to this or is this a dev issue?

Hey there @Bronze_Palms. So, right or wrong, dollar-based discounts do not show up at the item level. Only percentage-based discounts show up at the item level. All dollar-based discounts can only be accessed at the transaction level.

Hi there @docdutton. Sorry for the delay in replying. We got hit with 12” of white powdery stuff and I’ve been distracted with the headaches that come with that! Anyway…The answer depends on the POS app you are using.

In Square for Restaurants, go to Actions > Discounts.

In the regular Square POS, go to your Library > Discounts.

In Square for Retail, you’ll need to first put a discounts button on your grid. Then click on it.

In all cases, at this transaction level ALL discounts (% and $) will be available to select.
