thread Multiple quantities of same service in Appointments & Bookings

Is there anyway for us to book multiple quantities of the same service without making a bunch of appointments? I am a dog groomer and I have plenty of clients that have multiple same dogs, for example yorkies. A client cant book for two yorkie services. This is very frustrating. Can we please add a quantity to services?

Hi there!

I completely understand the frustration of not being able to book multiple quantities of the same service, especially in your line of work as a dog groomer. Currently, Square doesn’t have a built-in feature to allow clients to select a quantity for services directly during the booking process. However, here are a couple of workarounds you can consider:

Create a Multi-Dog Service Option:

You can create a specific service for multiple dogs. For example, instead of having just a "Yorkie Grooming" service, you could have a "Yorkie Grooming for 2 Dogs" service. This way, clients can choose that service when they want to book for multiple dogs.

Encourage Booking as Separate Appointments:

You could suggest that clients book one appointment for each dog but mention in your communication that they can schedule them back-to-back to make it easier. This may not be ideal but could help streamline the process temporarily.

Feedback to Square:

I recommend reaching out to Square’s support or providing feedback through the community about the need for a quantity option. The more users express this need, the more likely it is to be considered for future updates.

I hope these suggestions help ease the booking process for you and your clients! If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, feel free to ask.
