Created Variants, set Online bookable to false, still viewable in Advanced Widget

I want to create some Service variants for the future. I created some test variants, set their online bookability to false.

When I followed through the booking flow in the Advanced Widget I created, to my surprise, the variants were there and bookable!

I next went into the Square Online site and viola, the variants were NOT bookable.

What the heck gives?

Thanks for reaching out to the Community.

All service variations will be displayed regardless of any Online Booking settings (i.e., even if a variation has the ‘Bookable by Customers Online’ setting turned off).

Can you please explain why the Variants do not show in Square Online, but they do show in an Advanced Widget?

Also, are they visible in order to enable "Call us to book this Service" type of flows?

I am trying to understand what the bookable by customers online toggle is meant to do.
