I'm trying to use Claude to make an Event Signup List

Event Signup List includes:

Order Number

Order Date

Recipient Name

Recipient Email

Recipient Phone

Recipient Address

Item Name

Item Variation

Quantity Purchased

Item Total Price

Very simple to do in Orders -> Export -> Filter by Item/Variation in Excel

So I thought it would be easy to do with Claude + Square API.

Issue - The following two items which they type in during the checkout of an event are not exposed:

Recipient Phone

Recipient Address

Am I missing something?

Might need another api to lookup that info, using one of the other variables like order to tie back?

Have you checked out the Square Developers forum? https://developer.squareup.com/forums/

I recently had an issue with an endpoint, and discovered the forum which at least told me that it wasn't currently possible!

Square seems to be a little quirky around what items they will expose to the api and the ones they won't. not sure why, and I don't have any expereince with your particular question, but do check out the dev forum.

I asked in the developer forum and another member said they are not exposed.

Bummer, could really use that info.

Confirmed in the Square Developer Forum:

This is a Square Online API limitation. The recipient address and phone shown in Dashboard/CSV are not exposed through the public Orders, Payments, or Customers APIs for DIGITAL fulfillments. The CSV data is likely from Square’s internal Online order system.

I keep hitting roadblocks...

1) Square does not provide the reports for Appointments or Events that we need

2) Square does not provide the APIs to extract the data for the reports that we need

3) There has been no movement on either front (to date)

I think I have exhausted every option with Square. It may be time to assess other options.

Sell it as a physical good with "delivery" or "Shipping"?

I don't want to create confusion on the customer side. Burden should be on us, not them.
