Can I forward calls or transfer my phone number to another provider

I see that these questions were asked back in 2025, but I’m wondering if anything has changed. Is there a way to setup call forwarding, or can Square release my phone number for porting to another provider?

@Krt1 @As far as I can tell nothing has changed since 2025. I do know there is a feature request from 2024 wanting call forwarding added, you may want to jump over there and comment on it, if enough people request Square may add it.

On porting the number out to another provider — I haven't seen anything from Square saying that's possible, and I don't want to guess on something like number portability. I know when we went with Square for our number, we were told we could not port our old number over, so I would assume it would be the same if you wanted to port a Squarw number to someone else.
