      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello community,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I'm posting this in the hardware forum, as I'm not sure were elese the issue should go.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;This is an&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;U&gt;annoying bug&lt;/U&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;as it confuses lots of clerks that don't know all the inventory.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;When scanned, items currently gets added to the customer purchase automatically (&lt;EM&gt;sometimes NOT&lt;/EM&gt;) depending of the configuration of it. The behaviour happend depending if the items variant are populated with a GTIN / SKU number.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;span class="lia-inline-image-display-wrapper lia-image-align-inline" image-alt="Varian-config.png" style="width: 999px;"&gt;&lt;img src="https://community.squareup.com/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/54990i469A15CC63485730/image-size/large?v=v2&amp;amp;px=999" role="button" title="Varian-config.png" alt="Varian-config.png" /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Article will be automatically added if the following conditions are met.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;UL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Standalone item (no variant) =&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;added&lt;/STRONG&gt;, no matter what are in the GTIN or SKU fields&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;item variable configuration has GTIN = filled / SKU= filled&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;U&gt;(with same number&lt;/U&gt;) =&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;added&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;automatically (I don't understand the point)&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;item variable configuration has GTIN = EMPTY / SKU= filled&amp;nbsp;=&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;added&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;automatically&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/UL&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Video of it working as intended:&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Downloadable video link here:&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&lt;A href="https://drive.google.com/open?id=1ejMnqWS0bAZnCxtKxlOzkqgLK0gmF3rP&amp;amp;usp=drive_fs" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;https://drive.google.com/open?id=1ejMnqWS0bAZnCxtKxlOzkqgLK0gmF3rP&amp;amp;usp=drive_fs&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If not, the clerk have to manually select from within the multiple items&amp;nbsp;variant that are shown (see video) and they cannot properly see items number, this create errors and confusion. Configuration are as follow:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;UL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;item variable has GTIN = 12345 SKU= abcde (with different number, field are not populated with same number) =&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;NOT ADDED&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;automatically when scanned. This is a bummer!&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;item variable configuration has GTIN = filled SKU= EMPTY&amp;nbsp;=&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;NOT ADDED&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;automatically when scanned (Why....       <description>&lt;P&gt;Apparently this beahviour won't happend in the upgraded version of Retail.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;This is a bummer! Still I think it is not behaving correctly.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Claude&lt;/P&gt;</description>
