&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I’m really sorry you’re dealing with this, I can hear how frustrating it’s been, especially since you’ve already tried every recommended step and the reader was given to you by a buddy. You’ve definitely done all the right things so far.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;The light pattern you’re describing (four orange lights flashing a few times, followed by a single red flash) usually indicates that the reader isn’t successfully entering pairing mode or is failing a Bluetooth handshake.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;

      <title>Help! I can’t get my reader to pair</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;My buddy gave me a reader. But when trying to pair it flashes the four orange lights 2-3 times then flashes the four red lights once. My phone doesn’t even show a device trying to pair. I’ve updated the app, reset my phone, factory reset the reader, fully charged it, I’ve tried everything online I could find.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
