Hi @dougd!

I have seen this question come up before for Weebly users, so you're definitely not alone.

The short answer is that what you're running into is essentially a platform limitation. Weebly is a click and drag website design platform, so the ability to customise beyond set layouts and templates is not available. That said, there is one possible workaround that may suit your situation and could be worth a try.

Firstly, how things are currently expected to work is that the Gallery section will automatically size and space the images to fit the layout. Similarly, with the Slideshow section, you'll find it will auto-scale the images and doesn't allow fixed sizing or side-by-side placement.

Something that may work is to instead use Images and Columns together to replace these sections. You could place four images side-by-side with more control by giving these steps a try:

1. Drag a Columns element onto the page. Choose 4 columns (or 2 columns if you want two rows).

2. Drag an Image element into each column.

3. Upload one image per column.

4. Resize each image manually so they’re consistent.

In the Columns settings, you can reduce the spacing as needed. Keep in mind that some spacing will still be baked in between each section.

It's not a perfect solution, but let me how it works on your end and whether it's a helpful workaround.

This is for Weebly, the software we use as our website development environment. I am trying to add some photos to our website. If I use the "gallery" option, I can't control the size of the photos or their relative position to each other. I would like them all together, without any spacing between the photos (there are 4 photos). Weebly doesn't appear to have any controls to do this. It automatically creates the size and position of the photo in the gallery. I have also tried the "Slide Show" option, but again, I cannot control the size of the photo.

If I select the "Image" option, I can download a single photo, control the size of it, but cannot place photos side by side.

This probably isn't the correct board to post to, but I cannot find any other boards to post to.

Thanks. Any help appreciated.

Doug
