Square Hanheld just for Inventory tracking?

I'm looking to buy a Square Handheld for sales tracking and inventory management only. No payments processing - we already have a contract with another supplier for those. Is it possible to use the Handheld just for sales/inventory tracking? Or are sales only registered with payment processing?

@Mark24 If I understand correctly, you want to manage inventory, track and ring up sales on the handheld, but you process through someone else? You can do that, if you have your inventory loaded in the Square system. You would handle a credit card sale as Other Payment Type. That's how we do our Venmo payments. ring up the sale and then tap charge at the bottom, then when the payment screen comes up just tap Other Payment Type, You can also enter in Card Sales or anything you want in the Notes.
