Automatic Gratuity for Dine In bills only

Hello, I've been scouring the forums here for the last 45 minutes and haven't found a topic to answer my question. So I'm hoping you great people will be able to assist me!!

We use square for restaurants and currently have automatic gratuity turned on and it applies to all bills. How ever I would not like to charge automatic gratuity to our take out or pick up orders. I have our dining options set to Dine In, Take Out, and Pick Up. I was hoping I could create a rule or find some type of option to only apply it to the Dine In option.

I don't have an answer to your point-of-sale question, but as a customer I have to say automatic gratuities are unpleasant. I would rather you just charged a fair price for your products and tell your customers tipping is not required.

I'm normally a generous tipper, but I will not return to restaurants that force me to do it. Maybe just turn off the mandatory tipping and see how it goes? Just my 2¢
