Hotel space Cafe - Charge to room Ideas?

Hey group, I'm looking for a reasonable solution to allow customers to charge to their room in a Hotel that we lease our coffee shop space from. If I was using a compatible system they could interface with Opera PMS (Oracle) and then they could post payments to us, but currnelty Square does not talk to Opera.

Any ideas are welcome.

Do you have anything that connects to the hotel's software in your shop? My first question would be how you would confirm that someone in your coffee shop is a registered guest and giving you the correct room number to bill to.

If you can confirm those things could you send an invoice to the hotel? It would require a good connection with the hotel admin to work out the details.

Yes, we'll need an ID and/or Hotel FOB to prove they are in the hotel, then I suppose I use tickets and convert to invoices maybe. Depends on what their accounting side is up for, but they could treat me like a vendor I suppose. Thanks for the input.

Hi there 🙂 I have a similar question and was wondering if you got a solution. My main question is how to record a payment in Square, where customers can add a tip, without paying with a card? I would just later invoice the hotel for the total amount of room charges we collected.

I personally feel like the best option to accommodate hotel booking features would be to use an integration like Tripleseat. Outside that, Square Appointments would be the next best option. I am tagging some super sellers who can provide their insight! 🙂
