    <description>&lt;P&gt;I am trying to issue a full refund to a client who paid using their debit card.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The first time I tried was about a week after purchase. I tried again today with the same problem. We have more than enough in our Square balance to cover the refund.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Using my Square stand (original version) I got the error "Update Required Interac 1276". Using the Square terminal, I go the error "Refund Failed. Please try again later."&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The customer is using the same debit card for the refund and we tested it to make sure the PIN number works.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;How do I solve this problem? My customer and I are both getting quite frustrated.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

If you're still having this issue with the Interac payment, you have a couple of other options.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You can issue the refund through another method of payment like cash, check, or gift card. &lt;A href="https://squareup.com/help/ca/en/article/5060-refund-overview" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;Check out this Support Article with some more information.&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I know this process isn't ideal, but it will be a workaround for what you're experiencing.
