Force Prompting for Quantity

Hi!

We've got a Square terminal for retail - up until today, selecting an item from the items library or the favourites tab would open the item details screen, where staff could just type in the quantity preferred. After the latest update, it's skipping the item details screen, and we have to review the sale, open the item, and adjust the quantity from there.

We sell tiny items by the hundreds, and our poor clerks are tapping the item button 100 times to get them all added. Is there any way I can force the item details screen to pop up WITHOUT having to add a fake modifier or manual price? We've got a lot of staff, many of whom are not the most comfortable with technology - i'd like to avoid complicating it if possible.

I am also struggling with the way variations have changed, my items are auto adding instead of asking for variation option since recent changes. Video's of your issue with detailed suggestions can help garner mod attention to the issue. UI is constantly in flux and I would encourage you to bring these types of issues forward so the development teams can do better to understand our use cases and frustrations.
