Hi, i run laundromat. My Customers drop clothes for washing. I want to create an order at time of pickup however take payment upon pickup against the same order. Is it possible?

This is a great question and can definitely be done using Square's open ticket feature.

Here’s how you can set it up:

Create an Open Ticket:
When a customer drops off their laundry, create an order using the Square Point of Sale or Square for Retail app, and save it as an open ticket or unpaid order.
Add Customer Info
Attach the customer’s name and phone number to the order so you can look it up easily later.
Take Payment Upon Pickup:
When the customer returns to pick up their clothes, simply retrieve the open ticket, review or modify it if needed, and take payment right then.
Receipt and Notifications:
You can print or text/email a pickup reminder or order confirmation to the customer when they drop off, and send a receipt once payment is complete.
