Can I use a contactless chip reader I bought the states?

I have a Canadian square account. I bought a contactless chip reader in the states and tried pairing my reader to my phone in the states. It did not work. Do I have to pair in canada or do I have to return the reader and purchase a new one in canada?

Thanks for posting in the Seller Community.

If you purchased your Contactless + Chip Reader in the U.S. but have a Canadian Square account, you will not be able to pair the reader with your device.

I would suggest returning the reader and then purchasing one in Canada. Sorry about that!
