      <title>My square contactless shows as damaged</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;My prepandemic square contactless and chip reader has been sitting protected in its box for 2 years.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;Today I installed square on my new phone, charged the hardware, and tried to connect the reader.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;It shows as connected,&amp;nbsp; but says damaged.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;If I try to 'forget' it, it will not allow me.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;I have tried resetting.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;Turning off phone,&amp;nbsp; etc.&amp;nbsp; I have screen shots but cannot post them here.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
