    <description>&lt;P&gt;I purchased a square reader second hand from someone that bought it and used it twice.&amp;nbsp; When connecting to my phone, it says damaged.&amp;nbsp; The seller has never seen that happen.&amp;nbsp; Is there a fix?&amp;nbsp; It was stone dead when I picked it up.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I would suggest contacting square support. I bought mine directly from them. After a year, it had issues so they replaced it for me. However, I am not sure how it would work since you're not the original owner or if you have original receipt. I would still recommend reaching out to support directly!&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

Can you provide more information on what exactly happens when you try to connect your Reader or make a payment? Do you get an error message on the screen?
