&lt;P dir="auto" style="margin: 0;"&gt;If your hardware is marked as &lt;EM&gt;Damaged&lt;/EM&gt;, it means that the physical security measures built into the Reader have been triggered, which deactivates your Reader for security reasons. This can sometimes happen by accident, like rough handling during shipping or dropping the device.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P dir="auto" style="margin: 0;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P dir="auto" style="margin: 0;"&gt;You will have to file a &lt;A href="https://squareup.com/shop/hardware/return/warranty" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"&gt;warranty&lt;/A&gt; on the Reader, so we can replace it for you and get your business up and running.
