Customer-Facing Display for the UK

I've gone back and forth with someone in the Support team, but it has been like trying to get blood out of a stone. I can't be the only one who wants the Customer-Facing Display to work in the UK, surely?

I'm also very perplexed as to why this would only be available in the US also! 😠

Hi @Pesh, thanks for raising this! This feature is not currently available in the UK. It'd be used only as a display to show itemised sales and customers wouldn't be able to interact with it to complete the transactions. As the feature is quite limited, we have not made a plan to make it available here but will definitely share feedback with the appropriate team as it sounds like this is something that will be beneficial to some sellers.

If you need a customer display, I suggest the following options:

1. If you have a Square Terminal, you can connect it to your Square POS app and use it as a customer display. Please read Connect your Square Terminal to Square Point of Sale in our Support Center. You can also purchase a Square Terminal in our Square Shop.

2. You can purchase our latest hardware, Square Register - an integrated POS system that includes a customer display. Your customers can see what they’re buying and easily and securely enter their PIN on the screen. You can learn more and purchase it in our Square Shop.

A few years ago it was a bit of a workaround something that had no other option but know it’s a poor option that has many other better versions.

It’s a much better option than having to buy more new hardware that we would only use a few times a year. The register is just not cost effective for us, nor is buying the terminal as an additional device. Meanwhile we have recent iOS devices that can be borrowed for this easily.
