Having difficulty connecting my reader to my Alcatel 1B phone

Tried connecting on 2 alcatel phones. got error message 'device not supported. I'm just looking for a cheap phone solely for my reader. Any suggestions please?

Sorry to hear you have been unable to connect your Square Reader to your Alcatel device, I had a look at our device compatibility page, and unfortunately Alcatel models are untested, which means we can't guarantee they would work 😞

We do our best to support as many devices as possible but in some cases, however, some devices may meet all the requirements for compatibility but still not communicate properly with the Square hardware or the Square apps.

In order to see what devices are compatible, feel free to head over to our compatibility page here.

You can scroll through several devices, be it Apple or Android and see what is and is

n't compatible with the Square Reader.
