&lt;P&gt;Glad you got it sorted - reinstalling the app is often a good quick fix as it sounds like iOS had some permission issues!&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;The app needs access to the microphone as the original readers (and the lightening ones too I guess when the port was taken out) used the headphone/mic combo communication protocol to transfer the information needed from the card swipe. It's still used for any card swipes as they're the only way to do it.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I've just started up the app on the iPad in my shop, and all I am getting is a page stating that Square needs access to microphone. From settings, visit privacy&amp;gt;microphone to enable access.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;But there's nothing there under the setting for the App.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Is this some sort of joke? How am I meant to take payments through my terminal in my own shop?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I don't even use swipe card payments. Never have and probably never will.
