&lt;P&gt;I have been using Square for a while now, but now the app refuses to connect to the reader, insisting there’s an update required and to “please update Point of Sale.”&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;My app is up to date, I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling, I’ve done a hard reset on my reader, I just don’t know what else I could do?!&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;Thanks for getting in touch and sorry to hear you're having trouble with the reader! Do you happen to be using the iOS 14.5 Beta operating system at the moment?&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;What you're describing is unfortunately a known issue with iOS14.5 Beta. While we will have this fixed for the live release of 14.5, at the moment you'd need to roll back to an earlier build&amp;nbsp;(eg 14.4)&amp;nbsp;to ensure your reader will work with iOS.&lt;/P&gt;
