Bump. Am also suffering this. Local service business. Usually happens erratically towards the end of the work day. Skipping the receipt screen seems to have decreased it's frequency. I need my staff to pay attention and tap the screen to manually wake it in the case it appears to be sleeping.

Ping to wake or settings to prevent sleep would be great.

Bumping this topic. Our terminal randomly goes to sleep. It's not obvious until we try to initialise a checkout at which point we have to press a handful of buttons on the screen. Sometimes the checkout pops up, other times it needs to be restarted or the checkout restarted. Very annoying if we have 10-20 items already scanned/weighed.

Can we ping the terminal via api that will wake it? E.g. getTerminalAction or similar?

Same problem with my terminal. Keeps going to sleep and only way to “wake up” is doing a re-set. So frustrating. Just purchased and only attempted to use once as inconsistency was problematic. Purchased new at Best Buy but return window closed
