How to sell Packages on the Square Point of Sale App using Bookings mode.

I am creating packages. My packages are a 20 entry package (not appointment, class, etc). I have managed to create the package but cannot find it in my library/POS to sell. I cannot figure out what I have missed as I expected the packages to show under Services.

Thanks for your post.

If you’d like to sell Packages from the Square POS app, you’ll need to create and switch to Booking mode. Here’s how to set it up:

Create a Mode (Bookings)

1. Sign in to your Square Dashboard and go to Settings > Device Management > Modes.
2. Click the blue Add Mode button.
3. Choose Bookings.
4. Copy settings from an existing mode.
5. Name your mode, and click Save.
6. Back on the Modes page, click on your new mode (e.g., “Bookings Mode”) and click Manage.
7. Finalise all of your settings, then click Save.

Switch Modes

Once a mode is created, you can switch to it at any time. Mode switching cannot be done remotely and must be done in your Square POS app.

1. Tap ≡ More > Settings > choose the current mode.
2. Find the new mode in the list available > tap Switch mode.

Once you’ve created and switched to the Booking mode on your app, Packages should appear in the Library underneath Services.
