      <description>&lt;P&gt;Help I have reached out to square numerous times and get no response - I want to use my terminal to have customers sign up with email address or phone for text so I can use the square marketplace system to let them know of special events.&amp;nbsp; I cannot get the terminal to work.&amp;nbsp; It will flash the screen for about 10 seconds for people to sign up and then disappear.&amp;nbsp; Not enough time for people to fill in the information.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

I am happy to help in any way I can. To get a better understanding of what is going on I have some follow-up questions below:&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;1. You are adding email and number in the customer directory on the terminal?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;2. Does the flashing happen any other time, or just when you use the directory and add contact info?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;3. What app version is the Terminal on? More &amp;gt; Settings &amp;gt; Hardware. Tap General &amp;gt; About Terminal.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;3. Have you tried any &lt;A href="https://squareup.com/help/us/en/article/6537-square-terminal-troubleshooting" target="_blank"&gt;general troubleshooting&lt;/A&gt; and when you can reset your terminal?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
