    <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://community.squareup.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/693730"&gt;@boris2&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Charge your reader for a few hours 1 or 2, the longer the better.&amp;nbsp; Leave it Plugged in and charging, and try to Pair it to your Device.&amp;nbsp; Make sure your reader is only paired to ONE device, as these readers can only be paired to one device at a time.&amp;nbsp; So if its Paired to your phone and now you need it paired to a Tablet, it needs to be unpaired from your phone.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I am not sure why your reader was not charging unless the charging port became damaged over time, or the actual charger was not plogged in and you thought it was charging.&amp;nbsp; My wife like to turn off Power strips which my items are plugged into to charge and then they don't thanks to the power strip getting turned off.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;My 1st gen square reader is only flashing 4 red light every once in a while, as I’m trying to re-pair the reader to my device. It will not flash orange. Before I disconnected the reader, the reader was not charging and stuck at 0%.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
