    <description>&lt;P&gt;I have a mobile stand setup that we use at the fairs and I have the Square Stand hub mounted inside. I switch back and forth between the stand and the terminal with no problems running a scanner, receipt printer and cash drawer. I guess i should've added that I am using the second gen USB-C stand, that may make a difference.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Does a regular hub that I use for my Square Stand also work for the terminal, or does the terminal only use the terminal hub? They look the same except for the ethernet; however, when I tried to swap out the terminals my barcode scanner wasn't detected on the hub for my stand only on the terminal. Unless there is some other reason it wasn't connecting.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

The Square Terminal is designed to operate independently or connect to an Ethernet network via its own accessory hub.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

One thing I have found out is the terminal will connect to more sacanners than the Square Stand will.&amp;nbsp; I can use a cheap 20 barcode scanner with the terminal, but when connected to the stand it won't work at all. I think it has something to do with the software/hardware built into the stand.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

I’ll have to find where, again, but I read in some help document that the two were not compatible, for the reason stated. How odd.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
