Square printed hacked ??

Hello. One of our locations

using the square register and the star micronics mc-print3, we are receiving random receipts being printed on our printer. Can my square register be hacked or printed be hacked ?
please see attached picture of random messages on receipts

all of the receipts are signed off with Reddit.com/r/antiwork

Hello @UnionBarber thanks for your post. I'm sorry this has happened to you; I did a quick Internet search and found many articles about this happening. I'm not sure how to fix this, but this one article mentions a few things to try. It is not specific to Square or even a particular brand of printer (although you could search your receipt makers website for solutions), it appears to target generic Internet printing protocols for printers that have an internet connection.

This is definitely an odd issue indeed. Haven't come across this myself before! Just to make sure we cover everything within the Square side, I suggest running through the troubleshooting steps here first.

Ultimately, I believe this issue will most likely need to be resolved by the printer manufacturer, Star Micronics. You can contact the Star Micronics Support Team directly at 1-800-782-7636, enter 995 if asked for an extension.
