Assign a cashier to square register,

I have two employees that use our register during their separate shifts. We have them start and end drawers at the beginning and end of their shift. Both receive tips during their shifts. Currently I am unaware of a way to "assign" the register to them during their shift to keep track of tips and sales specific to themselves. We print out receipts when they get tips and then when I do payroll add up the receipts to find their individual tips amounts.

My question would be is there a way to assign the register to the person in charge of it so that when I run payroll it automatically adds up their tips and I do not have to have them print receipts?

You can create team members on your square dashboard. This will give them each their own log in PIN and allow you to run reports for each team members. Here is an step by step guide on how to set it up.
