We use the register POS in a university campus store. We are now required that the hardware is NDAA899 compliant. Everyone I have spoken to has been unable to answer this question.

Hello @WILLJHU thanks for your question. I can't find a specific mention of this on Square's website, however there is the following mentioned in online articles:

Block, Inc., the parent company of Square, designs and builds the Square Register

Regarding NDAA 889 compliance, Block Inc. states that they manufacture their own hardware with security features built-in and employ encryption technology to secure payment data. They are also ISO 27001 certified, which signifies their commitment to securing customer and company data.

Thank you for the information, unfortunately Square will not sign an agreement.. We have been using Square for 7 years and will have to find another POS system that will.
