I don't know of a way to get a push notification, but as soon as I encounter a problem I pull out my phone, and tab #1 is always issquareup.com

Service disruptions during a busy Saturday on 10.21.23 caused confusion and uncertainty with processing transactions. Transactions records were not updating, and we were unsure whether they were processing. Customer experience suffered until I learned about the scope of the disruption by going to the Square US Status web site. I would like to be notified by text when major disruptions occur that directly affect my business and customer relations.

Hi Mjmathias,

Your best option for now is what @VanKalkerFarms pointed out. You may want to bookmark that site. Square is beta testing system alerts but, at this point, I do get a system alert when an issue pops up however, it's not consistent. (Guess that's why it's called beta testing. 😊)
