Padding Shipping Costs?

Coming from Shopify, we have a % above the rated calculation to include shipping materials and such. We also use Shipstation which has a different calculation than Square. Is there a way to pad calculated rates?

Hi SecretChocolate,

I don't believe there is a way to do what you have in mind directly however, a possible work around would be to simply include the additional amount in your item price. Another option would be to add a service charge, see this info. Maybe some other community members have some thoughts.

Thanks JK. We have a brick and mortar so rolling a shipping cost into our product cost would not be a good thing. Service charge maybe but I've always liked just putting it into overall cost of shipping. People get grumpy enough with shipping. Adding $2-$3 for ice/packaging as a line item.. push comes to shove sure.

Already have enough unanswered feature requests over the years, hehe. I'll have to ponder more.
