Please help! I keep getting the SAME error with checkout on my site!

Hello!

I published my site on 12/19 with my own domain. I decided to do a test purchase to send my mom some of my products (using a code but paying for shipping).

Every time I use my card, I get this error that says “this card is invalid. Please use another payment method or try again.”

I then tried to use another card from a totally different bank. Same issue.

I had friends try to make a purchase. Same issue.

square is blowing me off because they did a test during a call and their transaction went through. But that solves NOTHING if my real customers can’t make a purchase.

I have already cleared my cache, tried incognito mode, used WiFi versus non WiFi and nothing has worked!

My website is serum x .co (no spaces + no dot com).

can anyone help, please??

Hi @ciaobella80. That is odd, indeed. I have a quick thought. Try unpublishing your website completely:

Dashboard > Online > Website > Site Preferences > Unpublish button near the bottom.

Then publish it again. It’s possible there is a ghost in your website which this would get rid of. It’s also possible it won’t change a thing, but it is worth a try.

Note that just republishing your site without unpublishing first is not a shortcut, since that would not completely remove the possible ghost.
