Is there a way to do custom orders/made to order items?

I made craft items and I need to have an option for custom orders where the customer gos to that category and fills out a form that’s sent to me and starts a conversation with me to confirm details. I don’t only sell already made items as inventory. I have lots of complex patterns that are better done as custom projects.

Hi Shadowwolf,

Custom work can be a challenge for sure and there's lots of details to consider. Square's online Shopping Cart and/or Buy Now button links are great for something already made. When it comes to custom work and you require a Form to gather info, one option that may work can be found here.

We have two sites, one is mostly information and the other is our Free Square online shopping website. They are linked together so it's basically transparent to the customer so selling ready made items is straight forward.

As for something custom made, our process starts with either an email or phone call - the customer can contact us through our main website. Once an order is agreed on between both parties, we send an invoice for the deposit and later send another invoice for the balance - then we ship. We also utilize contracts to ensure that we get paid and the customer gets what they want. Else, it's almost impossible to resell a custom handmade item.

Just some thoughts - I'm sure others here may also offer some suggestions.

I’m okay with the email method. I just need help figuring that out, thanks I will look into that.
